What Am I?

On Thursday Me and Waka Rua did what am i? We had to describe about an animal or an object.We had  to guess what it is starting off with i climb on trees, i eat bananas ,and i live in a zoo. do you know what that is? here is a what am i?. i did in Waka Rua. 

What i found challenging was describing an animal and an object?

I enjoyed putting images on there. 

Maori Language Week

Morning Everyone

Today we had a Google Meeting at 10:55, It started off with Miss Bound sharing her screen and we did a little dance for Maori Language Week, You know the going ( Waiti, Waita, Waipunarangi ... ) , With Justin.

After our little warm up dance, We split up into Workshops, I picked to go in a workshop called Wakatahi, Miss Bound then started sharing her screen with us again, She sent us a Google Slide that we had to SMURF and we had to do a voice audio over it.

It took a while to put all the audio recording in but I got the hang of it in the end.

What I found challenging was when we had to insert the audios and also saying the words but Im still working on it because it is good for us to learn new things even when they are challenging.

By clicking on the audios you can hear my voice pronouncing the words.

Tongan Language Week Art / Patterns

Hello .

Today I will be sharing my Tongan Art / Patterns with you guys, So I joined a google meeting with some of my classmates with our Teacher Miss Grigg, She gave us options which were to draw on Paper or to attempt to draw on a Google Jamboard, I picked to draw on Paper because I really tried to draw on the Goggle Jamboard but it was really hard.

So here is a Picture of Me and My Art I tried to draw :

I really enjoyed drawing the Tongan patterns, I learnt what the Tongan Flag Represent.

As you may know, This is what the Tongan Flag looks like the Red Cross Represents how Jesus Christ Died on the cross, The white represents Purity, the red part represents the Blood of Jesus Christ, I really enjoyed learning something new about Tongan.

What I found Challenging was when I tried to draw on the Google Jam board, It was really challenging because not many people actually create art online, because using keypad or mouse it really challenging to control most of the time.

Space Animation

Hello Bloggers, Today i was in my google meeting and there was a guest called Phil he is a very experienced man from Ako Hiko, He taught us how to make an animated slide show, and because our theme was Space we had to make a space animated slide show, It was really fun and cool to learn new things that I havent done before.

Tinker Cad

 Hi Bloggers, Today we had a google meet at 11.00 with our class and teachers. Our teachers said that there will be a guest that will be joining into our google meet. Our students were trying to guess who it was but then suddenly he joined, he introduced himself as Andy Crow and he talked about Tinker Cad.

 Do you know what Tinker Cad is? Tinker Cad is a website that makes 3D design's, you can even pick what shapes you want and you can draw it too, so i went on the website and it was quite cool and fun to use. Our goal was to try and make a rocket, when i was making it, I saw shapes that were cool to use for my Rocket. Once I was finished I was happy and very proud of my work and I even added Jupiter, Mars and Earth. Here is a picture of my work I did Today:

What I found Challenging was when I had to make a hole inside the Rocket and to also add Planets around my Rocket.

Gravity Experiment

 Have you ever fallen of a tree? Well did you know that it was gravity that made you fall.

Yesterday we done an experiment on gravity. First we got a piece of paper with instructions on it. We had to gather 10 thing to test which objects will fall first. I got a Lego, a card board box, 2 z bottles, shells, marbles and a block.

Next we tested it out so we started with a shell and a marble then i got on the chair and I dropped it at the same time our first objects that fell first was the marble because of the weight. 

Then we tested out the 2 z bottles one was full and one was half. We had to take turns so my teammate got on the chair and dropped the 2 z bottles at the same time our 2 z bottles fell at the same time.

I enjoyed doing gravity.

Tornado hits Papatoetoe 

Talofa my name is Princeton.

Do you know what happened in a tornado in Auckland? 2 people were injured in a tornado and 1 person passed away. In the tornado people were very scared and worried about their homes.

Papatoetoe was a mess because of the tornado. Trees fell down houses were damaged and gates fell down.

These devastating events caused people to panic. And the results was one person lost their life.

Neighbors were working together to clean up all the mess.

Some people in the event said “the tornado sounded like it was roaring we were very very scared”.

So now they have to clean all the mess that the tornado caused...

Have you ever been in a tsunami

Have you ever been in a tsunami before? On Monday we did a tsunami experience in Kea. So then we got into groups of 4. We each had a job to do. I had to build a house out of cardboard and my teammate had to get resources. And the captain had to do work on the computer. So we got up and did our things and started building. When we were finished we told our teacher ”Miss we are done with our work!”. Then our teacher came and got out her phone and started recording. Then my teammate poured the water down and our teacher moved the water, then it started splashing onto the table. Then everything was fine. 

The Results of our experiment were ok. The water didn't touch the building then our teacher said our tsunami survived because we put our sand up high and our houses high on the sand.

Keas lerning experience: Volcanos

 Have you ever made a sand volcano before?

So on Monday we were excited to do something fun. So our classroom decided to do a science experiment of sand Volcanoes so then we had a piece of paper with the ingredients for the sand Volcano to erupt. 

1. Three drops of Food coloring. 

2. A small plastic container on top of it.

3. Dishwashing liquid soap.

4. Final ingredient is vinegar. 

Then I'm pretty sure it will erupt.

What I learned about my work is that I am proud of myself and maybe I will try harder next time.i learned a chemical reation.
